Who we are

Breston Digital Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a digital marketing agency registered in England and Wales, company number 17193660, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Enquiry data — name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your message, when you submit a form or contact us directly.
  • Client data — contact and billing details, and the account access we need to deliver the services you have engaged us for.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, and pages viewed, collected through analytics where you have consented.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive email or SMS from us, and when that consent was given.

Why we process it, and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry — legitimate interests, or steps prior to entering a contract.
  • To deliver our services — performance of a contract.
  • To send marketing — consent, or the soft opt-in for existing clients under PECR. You can withdraw at any time.
  • To improve the website — consent, through analytics cookies.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors who help us operate: our website host, email and SMS platforms, analytics providers, CRM and accounting software. Each is bound by a written data processing agreement. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become clients — 24 months from last contact.
  • Client records — 7 years after the end of the engagement, to meet accounting requirements.
  • Marketing consent records — for as long as consent is active, plus 24 months.
  • Analytics data — 14 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us using the address on our contact page. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, multi-factor authentication on all business systems and least-privilege access to client accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify you and the ICO of any qualifying breach within 72 hours.

Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised date at the top.
